"Octavian" (2025)

"Octavian" (2025, 24"x36" acrylic on gallery-wrapped canvas). $2100

Octopi have always fascinated me- and not just because -uses sounds ridiculous. These are all weeks-long processes of layering underpainting, batik processes, more underpainting, more batik techniques, paint knife fill and texturing, finishing details... and are most often done in fits of inspiration that keep me from sleeping for days at a time. I won't pretend it's healthy, but I do love that these pieces pulse with energy.
